flowers/botanical shapes
lines/sketchy lines
colors
words via stickers
photos
die cuts
paints
stickers
little notes to myself
on reflection, I can see that in some ways, visual elements have gently replaced my writing.
I don’t know if I think that is a problem. in the past, I have definitely been a ruminator( with words). there is nothing wrong with that but sometimes it produces (in me) more anxiety than necessary. TBH I have been ruminating less and much happier as a result.
of course, different things work for different people. so ultimately we all need to pay attention to what makes us happy and try to do more of that.
